Is that a Basenji in your avatar?

My husband shrugs his shoulders and says "At least you're not in the bars!!" LOL!! Guess that means it's okay to have stash! Still wondering though...are you not supposed to use it?? Ever??? LOL!!

Hm... Let her go shopping with you one time, looking at prices, and I be she rethinks that whole throwing away thing.
Ours is not a particularly cheap hobby, for the most part.
.

Hmmm...Never thought of having her shop for fabric with me. That would be an eye-opener! Thanks for the suggestion, tooMuchFabric!

I told her that this was the stuff that I used on a regular basis and asked her if she had any ideas about storing it. Her comment? "Mom, you got way too much stuff!"

Sounds just like something my DD would say, needless to say mine doesn't sew, but she is an avid reader and has boo quos of books. So I gues we are in the same boat, way too much stuff. lol

The same with my DD (who would toss my "stuff"). She doesn't sew, has no interest in it (but knew exactly what she wanted in a prom dress.. and Mom sewed it with pleasure!) I will say this in her favor...DD does have an awesome sense of color and style, and if she asks me to sew something for one of the kids, it's spot-on!

That is so funny. Why do you think they call it "stash"? You stash it away & don't use it. Only reason I can think of.

Well, probably the only reason I didn't use the bathtub for fabric was because I already had a rabbit living in it! We are not crazy, just creative problem solvers!

Yes, that's my Corie

I was a breeder until I was in an accident, Rugosa Basenjis. Luckily my love of the breed remained, along with my love and knowledge of how to sew
(although terribly outdated, I still get many comments that lets me know the info I have online is still used www.RugosaBasenjis.com, so I leave it)
They are one of my favorite quilt subjects.
