The workmanship is perfection but the quilt is not pieced or appliqued. The design was made using only paintsticks and thread and lots of crystals on a wholecloth. It's odd I cannot find a really nice clear picture of this quilt anywhere online. No close ups of it either. The new rule that no quilt pictures of the show can be posted without AQS and the quilter's permission to me is not promoting quilt shows at all. :| |
Was it the one with the steps and trees?

Thanks Janet. I did by the AQS quilt show book with all the pictures but I ordered it instead of buying it at the show. It's $20 at the show but only $16 to order and I got free shipping. It should be here today. I asked why the price difference at the AQS booth and they didn't even know it could be ordered.

I have the book of quilts from other years and it usually doesn't show details, just the full view of the quilt. Maybe they've changed it, though.
But I'm sure their magazine will have details plus information on how she did it. Unfortunately nothing compares to seeing it up close in person. I'd love to see Linda Roy's quilt! Janet |
Wow, that's an amazing piece of art. Not my thing, but quite exceptional.

Wow! That is some quilt! The quilter would laugh herself silly at some of the things I call a quilt.

WOW....the handwork is exquisite!
It's not my cup-o-tea but is beautifully done! |
It is awesome, but more of a work of art to me

There will be tons of pics in the upcoming Quilter's Newsletter. I took a couple, but I knew they would do a better job than I ever could.
