For me there is 'pretty' paisley and 'ugly' paisley :). If it's bright, colorful and fun, then I'm all over it! Otherwise, it looks a little old-fashioned, in my opinion.

Anyway, it became one of the blankets we made for Alabama. I love the piece but had no immediate plans for it. So someone else will be enjoying my pretty! |
I love paisley! The design lends a complexity of texture to quilts. The lighter pastels remind me of the 1960s.
Paisley reminds me of my father's dressing gowns. He was British and always had one or two that he wore with his leather slippers and smoked his pipe before retiring for the evening.
I love it. Lots of color (usually) to pull from.
It reminds me of the 70s and I don't mind it.

Just love them......
have a collection of them. one of these days I will get around to using some of them...they catch my eye as I go into any fabric store....... and the rest is history. |
Somethings never go out of style.
Have always been partial to them.
Going to be totally honest...I don't like paisley. It resembles sperm.
I like paisleys for making hidden 9 patches. It brings out the individual designs.
Your imagination is on something other than quilting.
I love paisley as long as it doesn't look exactly like the handkerchiefs we have in the drawer. I'm drawn to the more intricate and diverse paisley designs. So pretty!
I love it. I have some of the civil war reproduction and use when ever I can in those quilts. I also love it in other things. I just found some pretty corduroy paisly fab that my friend sent me and I'm going to do an upline jacket with it.
Love, love, love paisleys. Love the shape and the design within each shape.....mmmmmmmm
Love it! I have paisley on my dining room chairs, on my bed, and in a couple of blouses : )
I love it. Just discovered that my grandaughter enjoys it also. Sent her a small purse that I fell in love with a got a rave reply. Made my day. Still does whenever I think of it.

i think it's amazing that something so simple can be enjoyed by more than one generation!! |
I love paisley. Have used it on several of my projects. I am reminded of the Victoriana era, women, delicate and intriecate at the same time. I particular like the purple hues. I draw the other colors from the print itself. Love it.
I absolutely love Paisley and my stash proves it!!
I also love Paisley. Including it usually brings in additional color options and I love color options.
I love them for backing on some of my quilts. They are good for hiding the faults in my quilting. HAHA
LOVE IT
I love them. I am currently making quilts for granddaughters that has pink, blue, and purple paisleys in them.
I love paisley! Always have.

I''l be the descending opinion . . . HATE IT ! reinds me of a red and gold dress my mother made me wear in the 50's which had elastic on the arms - puff sleeve - and it pinched and nad I hated that dress !! Didn't matter to my mother ! I wore it anyway. Same thing with plaids ! Hate thosee too - had to wear wool pleated skirts and I was NOT skinny!! I felt like a house !
Funny how your childhood memories pop right up ! |
Most of the time I don't love them or hate them. Once in a while I will see one that just jumps at me but not so much that I have to buy it.
Love it!
Reminds me of The Monkees and being in the eighth grade!

I hate paisley but I had to do a quilt for my LQS and it was called perfectly paisley. It was nice and the colours were soft but still not my thing.

My feelings exactly! :-P |
Just love love them in any color and size. They are just beautiful. Don't know why I'm so crazy for them I just am.
What's not to like? Paisley prints are so much more interesting than dull drab prints. I've used paisley for everything from quilts to tote bags to home accessories. They blend well with so many different fabrics and can look very modern or very traditional.
