Pam Bono Patterns

Has anyone here made a quilt designed by Pam Bono? I friend sent me a pattern of her's that is out of this world gorgeous. But, it looks so hard. I'm not sure if it is within my realm of expertise. So, I was just wondering if anyone on the board had attempted one of her quilts. And, if so, just how hard was it to make?

I did a small wallhanging and found the pattern pretty easy to follow

I've done a few that looked hard but after getting going on them they were quite fun and not to hard. :)

I just finished piecing a tabletopper and I found it very easy to follow. I am very impressed with her pattern.

Her designs that I've seen are all square, rectangle, triangle pieced. They look serious but are actually simple.

I made her sunflower quilt and it is beautiful. Some of the squares are maybe 1" square, but her instructions are very complete and it all comes out perfectly. Just take your time and you will love it!

I did the Wedding Ring Quilt. The directions were not so bad but the outcome was terrible. There was a major flaw in the outcome, even though I followed the directions. I have to say I don't need to do another one of her quilts, however, good luck.

Stop, place your mind in a new place. If you think it is beyond you it will be.
Now read the pattern a zillion times if you like at different times of the day. Read first part until you understand, read 2 the same now start . If you have any problems with any step thousands are here willing to advise no problems.
Post a picture when you finish.

I love Pam Bono patterns and have done several of them. One piece of advice though... when cutting your fabric be sure to label your pieces (ie: A5, B5a)...it makes life soooo much easier.

I too have made several of her patterns as she is one of my favorite designers. Tips:(1) Read the pattern all the way through before you begin so you understand the way it works;(2) Label the pieces as you cut (like she tells you); (3) Do the steps the way they are written - don't go off on your own or it won't work out.
Good luck.
