I use paper from my printer - a bit frugal I know - but it works great and is always on hand!

I use newsprint. It's really easy to get off after you're through piecing. I look around on the web for the cheapest prices. I also have some vellum (spelling???). I bought a ream of it at the Papermill.com. It's super easy to remove. Since I've started doing Judy Niemeyer patterns I haven't had to do any printing or use any other paper, but her patterns expensive.

If I'm doing regular paper piecing, I use blank newsprint that I buy at Michaels on a pad with a coupon.

My favorite method is freezer-paper piecing. You fold the seam back and sew next to it so there is no paper to tear off and the freezer-paper pattern can be reused several times.

This is what I do and no problems here. And it comes in 8.5x11.

I just use my regular printer paper.

I use the useless phone books that I find thrown on my front porch. The paper is very thin which makes it easy to tear off the back of the project, there's lots pages and it's free!

I took a piece of the Carol Doak paper, which I love (but it's too expensive) to a paper factory, where they identified it as newsprint, plain old newsprint, and sold me a gigantic 12" wide roll for about $9, if I remember right. It should last me the rest of my days, and I calculated that each sheet I cut off of the roll costs me less than a penny.

I use this too from dickblick.com. Sooooo affordable! Lasts me a long time... Use it a lot 'cause I only do paper pieceing...

I use light weight tracing paper. Buy it by the roll.

That's good for foundation piecing but not paper piecing. PP is having the pattern printed or drawn on the paper.
