I seem to print a lot of things off my printer & later don't use/need what I printed so I use the back side of the paper for things like paper piecing patters, etc. I rarely throw away a piece of paper from my printer that I don't use the back side first. Is that cheap...or thrifty? :)

I don't know, I guess it depends on if it makes you feel cheap or thrifty or feel guilty for not using it. I don't think most think Oh boy look at the money I'm saving by keeping this scrap paper. I think most feel guilty about letting go of something that they see as could be useful one day, some day, in five years....It's paper, not even made from wood pulp anymore. I use to save every piece of paper that could be reused. All I had was a big pile of used papers to deal with. No used paper saved at my house.

I ordered newsprint (8.5x11) from amazon. It is easy to use and easy to take out - however, it needs to go through the printer in small batches.

I do the same. As with fabric, we pay for both sides, so may as well use both.
