These are stunning the way you set the blocks! Beautiful job!

I also think those are two stunning D9P quilts. The only difference I see from the usual pattern is the addition of sashing between the blocks with the colored cornerstones to pick up that bit of color from the center squares.

They are all prints/dots/no solids. My abilities are average and the quilt size doesn't matter. What pattern might be suggested?
Blacks and grays would be stunning in a bargello, too, if you have enough variety in the values. Or add some solid black, gray or white and go with a really modern design. There are hundreds of patterns that would showcase those fabric colors and prints. Try doing a Google image search of black and gray quilts for ideas. |

I did 2 disappearing 9 patch quilts in black/white/gray and added a touch of turquoise to one and purple to the other. I used purple or teal in the center squares of the 9 patches (and cornerstones for sashing), darker squares for the outer corners, lighter squares for the rest of the 9 patches.

how about Fire Escape? Its a Terri Atkinson pattern. Her patterns are clear, easy and look much harder than they are! My fave kind!
