Thanks for a fabulous idea!

I scan them into my computer and keep them there. No paper to file.

I've enjoyed this discussion.
I'm reminded of when I was little one of the things i loved to do was organize the button box for my Mom. Gee, somehow they kept getting messed up. Now I can visualize someone's child or grandchild sorting through quilting patterns on a laptop and organizing them. ali |
I started flagging the patterns in the magazines (using the address lables I store in 2 shoe boxes) I have let my subscriptions expire and now get free patterns if need off the internet. Also, get inspiration from all you.

Do you make copies of it and put them into a binder under different sections? Sounds the most logical, but would love to hear how you do it. Phyllis |
I scan the ones I want into a PDF file and then print it for my hard copy files. Since I paid for the subscription, I can donate the intact magazines to community/charity organizations and schools.

Then once I'm done with the magazine I pass along to other quilters. With so many free patterns I have cancelled all my magazines.

So good to know that I am not alone with stacks of magazines.
Only today I started to go through them, and try to find some sort of order for them, what a headache. |
