I enjoy the process until it is time to quilt and then my project sits and waits, if it is small and I'm going to quilt myself, or it gets sent to my machine quilter if it is a quilt. I enjoy picking the fabric, designing the quilt and piecing.

I enjoy the piecing, much more than the layering, basting, and quilting. That may explain why I have more blocks, than quilts.

I love every step!!

I love it when it's all done, but I'm more partial to piecing, maybe that's why I have so many tops
|
I love every part of the process. Quilting the quilt is the part that I find the hardest. I don't think I am very creative, so I find it hard to decided how to quilt it. I think I need more practice.

I enjoy every part of the process; I don't even mind the basting now that I am using faux pinmoors (thanks to an ingenious board member) I even enjoy hand sewing the binding on the quilt using the ladder stitch (thanks to another ingenious board member). You quilters rock!

My least favorite part is quilting. I feel like I have so much less control over quilting than I do over piecing. I can make a quilt top look pretty good, but I'm afraid I'll ruin my hard work with my quilting. I can't afford to pay a longarm quilter, so I need to practice my quilting!
Practice does make perfect, though! Every quilt I make is a little less stressful than the last. :) |
Have any of you piecers/toppers considered swapping services with one of us quilters? Or vice-versa?
|
I love piecing and would be happy to talk about swapping services with a quilter. I could have so many more finished products if I did.

Quilting is my favorite part. Occasionallly I get in the mood to piece though.
