Where is the best place to buy Pinmores by that I mean the cheapest.
I have a friend flying to America in two weeks time, I thought if I could buy some via the internet, have them posted to where she is staying and she will bring them back to NZ for me

Are you really sure you want Pinmoors? I would be using the Elmer's washable school glue method instead (if I couldn't get 505 basting spray).

I agree with prism, or just get earplugs and use them on your pins.

Earplugs aren't that cheap either and they will wear out long before the pinmoores. I bought earplugs for the same reason and find them not as easy to use as anticipated. I'm switching to spray basting since my cats keep plucking the earplugs off the pins. lol

I have read all about Elmers washable school glue which we don't get here, would another brand of washable glue be Okay?

I would do an experiment with a small test sandwich to try a different brand of washable glue. Sandwich it with the glue, quilt it, then bind it or zigzag the edges. When you're done launder it to see if the glue is removed. The Elmer's is a white school glue. Maybe you can find something comparable, or one of our members from Australia or NZ can suggest a substitute that's available there. Another option would be to have your friend pick up a small bottle of Elmer's Washable School Glue for you to try. It's very inexpensive. I've also tried pinmoor substitutes, but the real ones do work very well.

Any brand of a glue that washes out will work the same as Elmers....check in the school supplies.

I should think you could find an Elmer's substitute in New Zealand. It would be the type of glue used in lower elementary school grades as it washes easily out of little hands, clothing, hair, etc. A teacher of young children would probably know exactly what glue meets these criteria! It's typically very inexpensive too, in part because all it consists of is a very thick starch.
