Is this too big for a pin cushion for a quilting room?

It just looks so cool

only if it gets in the way ;-)

I guess it depends on the amount of room you have. It is very cute, but not too practical. I'd be afraid it would tip over if you tried to use it. I think it would be more for decoration. Again, very cute!

It DOES look cool. Just nail/screw/glue it to something heavy if it's rickety. All kinds of notions, jewelry, knick-knacks could be displayed, as well.

i was thinking that it would tip over to easily.

I know, it does looks tippy. I talked myself out of it 6 months ago.

It also looks at about greyhound tail level- do not need any "Happy Tails" - but it really is cool - yet I could buy some great fabric for what I would save from not buying it.

Thank you, think I just talked myself out of it again.

You could make one yourself! What a great project!

If you like it and you can spare the money, go for it. It's very cute and would look great in a sewing room.
