I love both of those combos.

I see a lot of this combo in Baby items...so I dont think it is outdated.

Unless your thinking of selling quilts, I use whatever colors I want to use. I personally, do not care if a color is IN or OUT. If I like it, I use it. Of course sometimes I have to dye the color I want because its no longer mass produced, but I figure its my quilt and I will make it in whatever combinations I choose.

My new ggranddaughter's Mother has asked for Pink chocolate Brown and lime green. Her bed is in these colors in a pasily print

I like them. I just made 3 baby quilts for my nieces in their early twenties. One asked for brown & pink, the other had twin girls and asked for brown & pastels and sage & pastels. They all turned out very pretty.

If you like those colors it doesn't matter if they're popular or not. I love them and think anything made out of those colors would be beautiful!

I am not especially fond of those combinations, but then I never have been.

Today I went to a quilt shop in the Houston area and bought a pattern for a pink and brown quilt. They had it displayed in the shop. Beautiful. When I checked out the lady told me that it was the most popular quilt pattern they had.

Are these color combinations still popular? Or are they "dated"?
A couple of years ago, I made a baby quilt for a friend's granddaughter. Her mother chose pink and brown, and I didn't know it was THE color combination, but I made it and it really turned out beautiful. I didn't have any trouble finding coordinates in those colors. |
