Precuts are fun because you get lots of coordinating fabrics for a good price but I have a lot of issues with them...one being those darn edges. Another being prewashing...I don't prewash jelly rolls because they are such a pain but I prefer prewashed fabric to non. They are just a big old pain in the butt for me and unless I REALLY love the fabric I tend to stick with charms or bigger.

I keep a lint roller nearby just for such fabric emergencies. :-D
Its good for cleaning stray fabric lint off the cutting mat too. |
I just bought some of the layer cakes and wondered about the pinked edges. Sounds like a lot of things in quilting some like them some don't. Hope to get the top cut this week and then see what I think.

I use pinking shears to cut my fabrics. This stops the fabric from raveling...
