Today is day 63!
15 more days then I can stop nagging you! :D You'll be on your own then! :-D Beautiful day here in Florida. I wish it was this way all year long but I know it will be hot and humid here soon. I love it anyway. :-D |

I am way behind but finished this charm pack up...only giving me 9 pinwheels. Still not sure what I might addto them to enlarge the project. I was thinking square in a square...we shall see.

So do you guys need a pep talk? I haven't been keeping up. Got my long arm running last weekend so I have been having fun practicing my FMQ; not very good but improving. Can't do any more on it because I was happily quilting a jelly roll 1600 when I ran out of thread. I had ordered more but it won't be here till next week. Maybe I'll make some more pinwheels while I am waiting; I find them so much fun. Keep going guys!!! Don't get discouraged!!! I'm off to play in my garden; we finally have 2 nice days in a row here, a first for many months.

I took about 10 days off to think about borders. Then decided that I, Twisted Quilter, COULD make a sewing machine cover...NOT! I should of stayed with pinwheels. They were much easier.
I'm going to try really hard to get the border on this weekend. |

I finished my patches and pinwheels!! I named it A Day at the Beach, it reminds me of the colors at the beaches on Sanibel and Captiva Islands in Fl. The white sand, the colorful beach towels and umbrellas and the gorgeous blue sky and water. This quilt has been on my to do list for at least 2 years, thank you Pinwheel Project for giving me the inspiration to get it moved over to my finished list.
I made 60 pinwheels and 60 sixteen patch blocks, the border was scrapped together from leftover fabrics and bits of blocks. The backing fabrics came from my stash, and I used a couple of orphan star blocks from other projects. I had a ball (beach ball?) making this quilt! twin sized patches and pinwheels pieced backing fmq detail, done on my Janome 6500 My suuny label |

dhanke that is a beautiful quilt. I love the layout and all the bright colors.
I am way behind and have to concentrate on taxes the last couple of weeks. I hope to catch up and at least have the top together by the end of the month. |
