I agree! I have enough of a stash that in color sorted small tubs it fills the area underneath my long arm frame. I've added a bunch of kits thinking that I would then have some things that I could pull out and make on shorter notice. Now I feel overwhelmed with the possibilities and have a hard time deciding which one to make. I also think it hampers me from allowing my creative juices to flow naturally and I just don't enjoy making kits as much as I enjoyed choosing my own fabrics. I won't make that mistake again! No, I prefer a small stash of things I love and the opportunity to go in search of what I need to make something I've dreamed up myself. We are each different.

Read somewhere last year that the quilting industry was a 300 million dollar business last year. My husband wanted to know who put in the other 10%, he was quite sure from scoping my stash I had at least 90% of that.

I keep thinking that if I live another 100 years I won't run out! LOL

I was feeling very much the same way a month ago. I decided to just put everything away out of sight and work on one project at a time. I now have to projects to the border stage and have run out of fabric. Now they will be put on hold until I can get what I need to complete these projects. Wow what a good feeling!
