This is like a flash back to the early 80's when I worked in fabrics at a department store. The beige may be fleece which was used for bathrobes. The green may be a wool or wool blend.

The beige looks like a velour or home dec fabric to me.

Could the beige be for car interiors? I seem to remember soft roots on the inside.

My guess is the beige is a polyester or nylon velour, I have used some in the past for stuffed toys. And I agree that the green could be a wool.

The green looks to me like it could be dyed burlap. Disclaimer: at my age, the eyes are not perfect.

The beige might be a soft velour. I have an old pair of workout pants made of it. It is really stretchy. I can't imagine trying to make a quilt out of it.

The beige, to me, looks like something I would make car seat covers out of.

Thanks for all the help! Velour sounds exactly like what the beige is. The green piece sat in straight bleach overnight and did not dissolve, so I guess it's not wool. I belong to a charity quilting group so I'll bring it to them when we meet next. This month is one where we don't meet much so I thought I'd ask you nice folks instead!

The beige looks like a Velour to me, and the green looks like a plain inexpensive knit.

the beige looks like a synthetic velour like is/was used in bath robes--not heavy enough for car upholstery and most of upholstery fabric for cars doesn't have stretch to it. The green from your picture looks like a flannel--if you are thinking it's not cotton, maybe it's one with poly blend? A flame test (be careful when doing this!) will tell you that--a poly will melt more.
