The beige looks like an fabric used to cover furniture, it can be used for that or things like dog pillows. If it is fairly heavy duty that could be it. he Green looks like a fabric type used to make potatoe sacks. Sorry have a mental block about name.

I've always use the burn test. See http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/Burn-Test-Chart.html for how different fibers react to heat.

the beige is definitely a synthetic velour or micro suede , the green looks like a poly-wool blend. The burn test should tell: it will melt but it may fizzle as well which is the wool part
