I think more and more people are appreciating the talent and cost of the things that people make. Good luck, my wish for you is that you well everything you have and take orders for many many more!! By the way I would love the 40" because even though it might be long for a small table, they look great even hanging over the edge.

I wanted to update--NONE of the longer runners sold--but many shorter ones did.

I'd buy one of each... the shorter one for the coffee table, the longer one for the dining table!

I'm in with the 40-inch crowd too! I like a longer runner, and have even seen people use the long length portions as "placemats" on the ends, with matching placemats on the sides --- hope that makes sense.

Hope you had a really good sale... |
Only a 20 inch top, a 40 inch is way too long. Neither my DD or DILs would use a 40 inch.

People who make quilted items to sell and boost their income know very well the time invested and the material cost. This doesn't even include the artistic time spent in dreaming up unique items. People who want something unique can either make it themselves or find it somewhere at a price. Your pricing seems very reasonable to me - and I have sold table runners of various sizes for more than that. We all are reacting to the diseased economy we are dealing with. But your work has value and should not be "given away." Don't sell yourself or your talent short. Good luck in your effort.

If it was for my house we have a small table so we'd be the 20" but if I was buying it for my SIL table I'd go with the 40" your prices are more than reasonable
