Glad to see the fix. Looks good. Please contact the designer so other quilters won't have the problem you did. Please post pics when quilt is finished.

As a former pattern designer, I wholeheartedly agree! But, then, I was always very fussy about my pattern directions. I figured they would be a reflection on me.

I have also found patterns with errors. It can be very frustrating.

Since you actually changed the pattern, you can't blame the pattern. Folded corners are sewn on the line from corner to corner, not a quarter of an inch from the diagonal.

I didn't understand the making the square larger and then stitching and cutting and then placing onto the other fabric to make what I think is a snowball type block but I don't see why the 4"x4" squares wouldnt't work because it would be just one diagonal stitching and then snipping off the excess and it would have filled out that corner area.
