Washed and dried and came out fine....except for one of the points that I apparently didn't get the full seam allowance on. One corner popped out but it will be a pretty quick fix, I think.

Thanks again for all your nice and helpful comments!

That's great! I thought they would be fine! The way you fold and then stitched should hold them ok!

They become softer but it doesn't deter from the beauty of the points.

Your quilt is beautiful.

I have made prairie points on baby qults...just not lately.
They were washed before I gave them away and they came out just fine. Never gave it a thought that they wouldn't.
The way you fold them...then sew, I can't see how they wouldn't come out looking good.

What a cute quilt...

Very nice!
...and thank you for a great "binding" idea for my "Cheddar Cheese" retro 30's quilt. I never would have thought of prairie points.

Great quilt and love the prairie points. Glad they washed all right.

I made a quilt for my daughter about 15 years ago with prairie points and they are still nice and pointy and have held up really well. It was a very high quality cotton fabric so this may have helped a little. I think your points will be just as perfect after washing your beautiful quilt. Beautiful work
