ok-so i made this baby quilt with prairie points. i am quite pleased with the quilt. however, when i washed it- & I wasn't surprised that this happened- some of the prairie points wrinkled up. of course, they ironed back down quite easily. but, this is a baby quilt- i don't want the new mother to have to iron it every time she washes it- is there any solution to this, or have any of you encountered this?? any help will be very much appreciated!!

Very cute!!!
Welcome to the board from Southern California!!! |
They're supposed to. When the baby is laid ON the blanket rather than IN it, they'll be (pardon the pun) points of interest for him or her to reach for, grab hold of, and explore. Just like the knots and strings on a tied baby quilt.

Your quilt is adorable :D:D:D
You might have to tack the points down to keep this from happening. They would still be dimensional, if you don't sew them all the way around. |
Welcom to the QB. I'm not sure there is anything you can do about it. Sure is a pretty quilt.

Pretty! I made the same pattern a few weeks ago. Mine didn't do that, but it could be the fabric. You could always hand sew the points down.

oh wow - this is stunning!! I wouldn't worry about the prairie points wrinkling - they will give little fingers something to play with or reach for - I love it :D

Adorable!

Very pretty quilt , I wouldn't worry about the points.

thanks to you all for your replies & comments!! i thought about tacking them down- but, since it is finished, that would put knots on the back of the quilt. guess i will just leave it as is- since some of you tell me it will be ok!! thanks again!!
