That would be nice, but I wonder if some ppl don't just need the $$ for other things & no interest in getting more fabric?

I'm another quilter shopping stash. So glad I have it,but no way I'll pay those prices. Will have to go back to my old hobbies if need be.DH is retired & our income doesn't get raises.

"I think it's a great way to renew or refresh your fabric supplies. I think a lot of us are just going to have to find more creative ways to add to our fabric stashes. I would personally love to see more trade offers on the classifieds here instead of just cash sales."

As a new quilter in Canada I find the US prices for fabric to be so much more reasonable. I have just paid 15.99 a metre for flannel.

Already do...prices are $21-$26 on average, with some specialty fabrics $34-$75. The sale at Hancock's looks better by the minute.

$9.99 must have been a sale price! I've been online checking prices lately, and it's up to $11.49 on some sites per yard. I do my best to find sale fabrics when I'm looking for something, but having said that, I have also paid full price for small amounts. As a general rule, though, I ALWAYS look for sale prices.

I can't pay those prices, I'm on a very low income. I recycle cloths and once,if I have, I buy on line.

Time for me to start using my stash! This is that rainy day it was saved for, I think....

If I'm going to spend upwards of $9.00 would rather give my hard-earned $$ to a quilt shop.

Ditto here.

Simply put, I cannot afford to pay those prices...
