Here it is......I was running short on the print cutting the 91/2 in sqrs I wanted 16 4 across 4 down and came short on 2 so I pieced from the scraps 2 91/2 sqrs it is noticeable but I can live with it, and duh! the nite I finished the blocks I thought the next morning I would play and rearrange the blocks in different order and totality forgot until I had it all together then remembered but for the most part I pleased with it,I also made a bag for my computer with the fabric a few years ago. I still have to sandwich and quilt it..........any suggestions on the quilting? On a dsm thanks for looking

Beautiful!!!!

ManiacQuilter2 11-03-2013 07:33 AM

Mandyrose- It came out magnificently !! It is better than I imagined it would be!! I will share it with my BQ quilting friends. I like how you made it your own by making that small change to include the lavender fabric. I am sitting here with tears of joy. You did it !! And in record time.

PurplePassion 11-03-2013 07:56 AM

I love Purple. It is a beautiful quilt, and if you get tired of that bag, I'll take it. jk

MaryMo 11-03-2013 08:07 AM

Your quilt is beautiful! but the computer bag is awesome! especially with the flower accent. I still love that turquoise/purple flowered fabric.

Mousie 11-03-2013 08:10 AM

And the problem is? There is never too much purple in the world. Your quilt and bag are wonderful

amyjo 11-03-2013 05:55 PM

Nice, you must have meant for it to be that way. Not too much purple.

WTxRed 11-04-2013 04:13 AM

Beautiful! You did an AWESOME job!

AnnT 11-04-2013 04:16 AM

It looks great. I'm thinking the piecing won't be noticeable (to anyone but you) after it's quilted. I had to look to find it.

coopah 11-04-2013 05:03 AM

Love the way the quilt and bag worked out. Gotta love that purple! After it's quilted your "join" seam won't be noticeable. Nice work!

Reb 11-04-2013 05:13 AM

The black was a great choice. Beautiful. Sorry I'm no help with quilting patterns.

dlb0526 11-04-2013 05:24 AM

It's beautiful! Very creative! Our fore-mothers did a lot of piecing, even in garment construction. Fabric was only 32 - 36 inches wide. I can remember my mom piecing fabric to make gored or flared skirts. She also used solids to "stretch" the fabric (as she would say). She'd make cuffs, collars, belts, trim from a solid fabric which added to the decor.

MargeD 11-04-2013 07:22 AM

OMG - it's gorgeous. Don't you just love purple - such a happy color. Maybe I should try something like this to back my DGD's quilt as I'm not sure I have enough backing fabric - will give it a try.

What a beautiful quilt - and gorgeous bag. What pattern is the bag? did it include the flower pattern. That flower makes it look so cute!
