Check out the cotton yard, with Betty Cotton, no hand sewing with this method and I love the 3D seams, and you can do fancy stitchs with your machine, lots of fun!

I think you can QAYG either way. Hand or machine. Your choice

I do a method of QAYG that has no hand sewing. The results are beautiful. There is no bias tape, just your material you are using. I can not do hand sewing because of medical reasons. I will try to find a tute on my method.

My avatar is done by QAYG....with NO hand work...must be THAT TEACHER'S method....Don't give up on QAYG quilting. It is so liberating.

The QAYG class I did used bias tape, but no hand-sewing. We used a decorative stitch, or just straight stitch, to attach it with the machine.

:| I thought I would be learning a new technique that would save time. Guess it does, to a point. But, hand sewing? They tell me to do it while watching tv. Nooooooo, that's my time for yarn work, computer games, etc. Ugh. Okay, vent over. I feel better now that I've warned everyone. Spread the word. I'm relying on you! ;) |

I have just started a QAYG king size. Will let you know how it goes. So far so good. All the blocks are cut, layered, and some quilted. I refuse to hand quilt except sometimes for binding. I'm coming up with all kinds of ideas on how to put it all together. Will keep you posted.
