what i like about any qayg project is that you have more control quilting smaller blocks on a regular sewing machine, before putting blocks in rows. it actually takes less backing and less batting as there is no waste except where you have to square up. it does take a little preparation to get all of your "ducks" in a row but the extra bit of time is not necessarily a bad thing. i still hand stitch my binding because i like the look i get. because there is less waste and quilting can be done by me i save alot of money by not having to send to longarm quilter, using less fabric for backing and batting and although i like handquilting at least one a year, the qayg saves alot of time.

I went to the Bayside web site but coultn't find tutorials anywhere and the site doesn't recognize "tutorials" when I did a search - could you please give the web address for where you found the tutorial? Thanks a bunch.

And, for those of you who think cats don't know which blanky is theirs, guess again! :-) :-)

p.s., I should add that I am Rudy's "blanky"! The stinker doesn't need a quilt.

Please share what you find out - i HATE HAND SEWING

Ditter has a tute on the board for a string quilt that's QAYG and its all done on machine. I just looked at it because I have it bookmarked & I'm getting ready to join some crazy quilt blocks together using her method.
