QAYG = quilt as you go

I wouldn't even think to do it all by hand. Maybe, the very last seam where the top and bottom attach, but I prefer to use my machine for everything, so I would find a way to do it by machine.

I hve done the back machined...but you sew from the front...just make sure the back strips is slightly wider then if you were hand sewing and pin really well from the front making sure your have caught the covering strip on the back..then stitch in the ditch. This is for the method where you use a single strip (I use 1 1/2" wide and 3/8" seam) on the front and a folded strip on the back (I use 2 1/2" if hand sewing). Hope this helps

Well I tried 2 of the techniques from you tube. I am going to try the other one that was mentioned here from our board thread too. My fmq still needs alot of practice. I tried to make some shamrocks and a flower. Well doing these methods seem to be fun.
