I've used this method to do a cushion. Enjoyed doing it but disliked the fact that you lose all the points.

When I do a QAYG like that, I narrowly sash the blocks to match the joining sashing so I don't loose my points, but I'm still not fond of the technique.

I used a washable felt marker to draw the lines and you are supposed to lose the points in this quilt. I made this pattern in King size and also squared the blocks to the smallest size. Thanks for visiting my blog :)

Blecch!

I drew the lines, used a walking foot and all of it and I hate it!

I made sixteen squares.

I'm joining them with strips to give to the cat! 😄

I made a chevron quilt once and hated it and gave it to a friend's dog that was recovering from surgery. I am sorry to read that you have had such trouble with this quilt. It really is a lovely work when completed.

It probably would have worked if I had that bonded batting that doesn't shift so much.
