It is the website URL for the Bible camp where I donate a lot of my quilts. They have an annual quilt auction fundraiser. I will give them this, and they can either put it in the auction or keep it for display at camp. I believe they don't allow electronics during the camp session, but people tour the camp and parents come to bring their kids. They also have a lot of adult sessions, retreats, etc. during the year. It will be a novelty and generate conversation for them for a while if they choose to display it.

I am not sure if thread would make a difference or not. Why don't you try taking a QR code from a magazine or print out from your computer and take a colored pencil or something and draw through it like your quilting would be. Then you could see if it still worked?
