I generally buy the metres off an enormous roll.

I will put mine in the dryer for a few minutes to get all the wrinkles out.

i always lay out the batting to let it 'rest'...helps in layering the quilt...

I use a steam iron and hover over the batting. It works really well to relax it. I'm thinking that a small hand steamer would work equally well for the really large sizes. I also think it should then air dry before sandwiching.

I hang my batting on the clothes line and spritz it with water and let hang for a while in the sun till the creases relax.

I was told by my LAQ to take it out of the package and let it rest a day.

This is why I only buy batting by the roll.

I haven't bought batting in package. I always buy off the rolled bolt and keep it that way. I keep an empty cardboard roller handy from a previous purchase. I only buy my batting when it's on sale at Joann's and usually buy 4-5 yards at a time. Doing this, no need to let it relax.

I use warm and natural and I throw it in a hot dryer for about 10 min and it comes out fine.......

I let mine set out for at least a day. The sandwiching process is easier then.
