Yeah, everybody seems to think that but if it was actually 100% cotton you wouldn't be able to quilt it 10 inches apart. The poly scrim is why you can quilt it that far apart. You have to read the fine print on the label.

If you read this website carefully you won't find anywhere that it says W&N is 100% cotton. http://www.warmcompany.com/wnpage.html

First thing I read was gives an antique look. Pellon is great. I use it in handbags and have never had any trouble. I guess you could wash the batting first to avoid the crinkled look.

I am understanding that the Silk batting has recently been improved.

And just so you know, W&N is not 100% cotton. It's needle punched thru a poly scrim.

Which is why you don't use it in a microwave!

I use Hobbs Thermore poly batting for wallhangings & table runners. It won't beard. It doesn't shrink when washed because it is poly. It drapes beautifully and stays that way. Hand quilts like a dream if you would want to do that.
I really like it for baby quilts too.

Quiltin Chris; Thank you for your reply... looks like W&N is definitely in my future, along with a wee bit of Hobbs 80/20.
Thank you again everyone!!
