Are you using the correct bobbin? I have a Husq.Sapphire 870 which uses green bobbins so that the sensor works, if I put in a blue bobbin from my Husq. Lily the Sapphire can't tell when the thread is low on that type of bobbin. I know it's not your machine type but just a thought?

Thanks for the input. Yes, the embroidery worked fine, but had a full bobbin and didn't use it up.
I have cleaned the area thoroughly. I am using the bobbins that came with the machine, so hopefully they are the right ones.

Spoke to the dealer and it seems to them that I am doing everything right and that the sensor is turned on. So, when I go for embroidery class at the beginning of next month, they will check it out.

I have the 640 and I have no sound for the bobbin, it just stops! Then I change it.

Called and they said bring it in....was going to wait until the beginning of next month when I go there for embroidery club. Now the needle up/down function of the foot control stopped working:? ...that I am not happy without....Sadie may go to the doctor sooner rather than later! :|

I hope they can fix her. If she's new she shold still be under waranty.

Yes, that is comforting. But it is frustrating. Like getting a toy with out batteries. :-) Gosh, I shouldn't complain, she still sews.

Awwww, poor Sadie -- sounds like she might need an adjustment or two. I'm sure they'll be gentle....

Good News! Sadie was able to recover at home with some extra TLC and the dealers soothing instructions over the phone. Had to go into settings and let the speed thinga-ma-bob recalibrate motor speed or watts or something  . Anyway, that fixed the foot control needle up/down problem and then he said "That might fix the bobbin sensor issue too", and low and behold, it did!!!!!!! I am sooooooo relieved. All that and before 9:30 in the morning too! :-P

Now, I could sew to my hearts content....but I have to work to support my habit ;) and I work 2 jobs today and won't get home until about 10...sigh.....

Thanks for everyones help and concern. It makes me panic just a little less when you folks are there for me :)
