What do you use to make your quilts slide easier when FMQ? I have a new one and it doesn't slide very easily or maybe because I am quilting a 90 X 112?

My large quilts didn't slide easily but I used Fons and Porters quilting gloves and that helped a lot. I use a frame now and that was a god send.

I do too but it is the quilt that is not sliding on my machine. My feed dogs are down, and it's hard to move sometimes.

Could it be the fabric? Maybe I should have washed the backing 1st?

I use a teflon sheet to improve sliding. It's called a supreme slider, but there may be other brands.

if the fabric is catching on the table,it would keep it from sliding.

i use my husbands motorcycle wax on the extension table..i rub on and buff off..works like a charm.

don't really have trouble with it. but- I do take it to the kitchen table so I have more area to stabilize the rest of the quilt, making the "drag" less on the work area.

check the power cord, mine gets hung up sometimes on the frame. I ended up running it through the rafters with a heavy duty extension cord so now the power cord hangs down and doesnt get hung up.

I haven't quilted a big quilt on my Juki. Only lap and baby size quilts. I tried the supreme slider on my juki and I wasn't impressed at all. I think that doing a large quilt is tricky. You really have to manage the bulk so that there is no resistance. I do use goves. I just got a Sharon Schamberg Quilt halo, but I haven't tried it on my Juki yet.

I use the Supreme Slider. I love it. To make the slick side super slicky and the tacky side tackier, rinse it under lukewarm water and pat dry. I don't know why the isn't on the package directions. I have also used the non stick aluminium foil wrapped tightly around the ext. table, with the non stick side up. That worked great too but tears easy if you use pins. I have seen others wax the table but I don't like putting chemicals on the plastic table, it could crack over time. I have the Halo and it's great for small areas not for big quilting loopy loops. I put fabric gripper balm on my fingers, that helps me more then the gloves.

I make sure there is no drag from the quilt hanging off the table. I don't have any problem with quilting on the Juki. I was also going to suggest waxing the extension table.
