Oh my your own saliva(spit) takes it out -- only your own will work on your own blood ! A fellow quilter taught me this and it has worked every time !

I worked in a hemodialysis unit for 11 years. We always used full strength peroxide followed by a clear water rinse for all our "blood" issues. Worked every time.

oxyclean laundry stain remover spray. stuff works great. have used it alot of blod. always stabbing my fingers with needles LOL!!

The best thing I have ever used to remove any body fluids from fabric is Vivid! Not everyone carries it but Wal-Mart does. It's in a yellow bottle with a blue lid. Have driven miles for this stuff. I swear by it. Even removed old baby formula from old old clothes. Works wonders on any human type stuff!

She is very upset and doesnt know how to get it out and feels it is ruined. It was gonna be a present for my sibling. Thank you very much it is much appreciated. I'm a blood handler for our local blood bank, and frequently get spots on my pants or shirt. I take them ALL out with either cold water or hydrogen peroxide. Also at home I've used just plain moistened meat tenderizer. Never, ever use hot water on blood stains. I always wash everything, except for stained whites that need bleaching, in cold water. They always come out clean. |
If the saliva doesn't work due to time lapse, try an oxiclean paste. Let it sit, then rinse with cold water. Repeat, if necessary. Hope grandma regains her health soon.

I read here that someone uses Murphy Oil on ink, blood etc. and it does not leave a residue.

Your own salvia works, I've used it many times.
