How about a layer cake pattern? Missouri Star Quilt has a ton of them and they go together in a jiffy, well for me that means about a month for a queen size. I am amazed at the French Braid by ckcowl, that would take me at least six months to finish. The quilt I'm thinking of is called Honey Layer Cake and it was quite easy.

That french braid is absolutely gorgeous!

What about Pieces of Eight? Find at least six fabrics all from the same collection, or that coordinate well. Cut them into
8 1/2" and sew them together. Fast, simple and not "fussy".

Turning Twenty is very easy and goes together in one evening. Cut it out one night and sew it together the next one.

Purchase one of the 'cheater' quilt tops and quilt it. Doesn't take long and there are some pretty ones out there

I look this quilt. I'm a beginner, but hope I will be able to do one like that work of art. Slim10
