Quilt for 3 year old boy
 

I have made 2 quilts for 2 of my grandchildren. Now I need ideas for my 3 year old boy. He loves motorcycles, but also birds, Star Wars and super heroes. I think the motorcycle theme will last longer than the others but I have no ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same thought as Tartan when I read your post! If the backing reflects one or a few of his favorite colors will also extend the use, but as a teacher who has been around many boys for many years an I Spy will appeal over years of growth :thumbup:

I would also say "I Spy". You could include all his interests in it.

If you can find a swap for "I spy" squares, it will save a lot of shopping. Check the "swaps" group on this forum to see if there is an "I spy" swap coming up. There will probably be one this summer.

Maybe a D9P would work as you could include fabric for all the themes he likes.

I like ArtsyOne's quilt top. You might use a backing of birds.
