If the intention is to adopt quilt---------perhaps the administration would start a new area, just for adoptions.

We should remind parents who have hobbies whether quilting or wood working, painting etc. just how treasured their hand work is. And to address what they want done with treasures.
I have all my quilts listed and their new owners name on a paper in our will. Wooden toys will go to the youngest kids for their kids. When our home is sold I have listed plant that should be transplanted to those with permanent homes So I may be rememberd that way. just a thought for others

That's a good idea.
Last Saturday I went to a church sale and got for only 3 dollars a lovely kids' quilt that had lots of neat animals appliqued on it and it even had a hanging sleeve on it. I'm not that interested in hanging it but the way things usually happen to me, after keeping it in the car trunk some kid will show up someplace I go and need one. Always happens. I washed it and stuck it immediately after drying it into a plastic bag. When I get the urge to put it in the car, I will, because that's the way it's always happened, someone will mention a need that can be filled with a neat little quilt. And it's heavy and warm too.

I think that is a wonderful idea, at least they would be rescued.

What a great idea. I seldom see quilts at any of the garage sales I go to. But if I do, this would be a great way to a new home for a quilt.

I would adopt, gladly we are four quilting sisters, we quilt together at least once a month, more if possible. Funny how we used to fight! Now we share ideas and passions-and of course finished projects!
