I vote for "The Quilter" also, I receive 2 others, and The Quilters has more projects that I feel inspired by.

Personally, I don't buy quilting magazines any more. Their patterns aren't new and fresh and just seem to be there to sell lines of material. There is more advertising in them then quilting articles, pictures and patterns. There is so much available for free on the internet, it seems silly to me to spend money on magazine subscriptions. If I see a magazine in the store that has a pattern in it that I just have to make, then I will buy it, but no more subscriptions! Maybe I should save up all the money I'm not spending on magazines and buy the EQ7 so I can make my own patterns on my computer!

Go to your local Libraray they (at least our does), have quilt magizines. Our Library get 2 different magizines, so I never buy those because I can go get them for free. They also have back issues of the same magizines. Good luck.

I vote for American Patchwork and quilting. Lots of good information and love the patterns!!

I have Quiltmaker and Quick Quilts.

My two favorites are Quilters Newsletter Magazine and the Quilter Magazine. I read them both cover to cover.

Iam new to quilting and I like the Quick Quilts.

I am thinking about the Quiltmaker. I just got the Quilters Newsletter but for me, it isn't what I am looking for and think I will be canceling that one. I want the "hold my hand and tell me how it is done", at least until I get a few under my belt. Just my 2 cents! :-)

I don't get any quilting magazines anymore. F&P usually uses colors that I don't like, Years ago I used to get Quilters Newletter and a few others , but quit all of them now.I would suggest like others have said check out the mags at library or bookstores before you buy.

I got this too and really like it.

Google "free quilt patterns", "free table runner patterns" or whatever you want to make and you will find lots of patterns that won't cost anything. I have dropped most of my subscriptions because they are expensive and there is so much advertising and the patterns are kind of blah.
