Your individual block is beautiful, when put in a quilt via Photo Shop it is breathtaking. When I first saw the block it reminded me of a "bird of paradise".

I agree that you need to continue with the making of more of these blocks. Once you get 4 - 6 done, you can play with them to see what setting you like and how big you want the quilt. They could certainly be turned on point and have "plain" blocks in between. Even with the straight setting, you could put "plain" blocks between in order to break up the blue and make the block stand out. And as others suggested, there's always sashing. Any way you work it, it's a beautiful block and will therefore make a beautiful quilt. (PS: There is a book called Sensational Settings by Joan Hanson that has some great ideas for putting blocks together. Maybe you can find it at your local library?)

That would be so pretty...or if you think it's too much, you could put a plain block of a slightly lighter blue or just white between the blocks. That would let the pieced blocks shine out!! :-) I llike it a lot!!!

Keep doing what you're doing, it's beautiful. Great colors
for this pattern. |
That's beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I love the photoshop picture allowing the secondary patterns. It makes a beautiful block into a beautiful quilt.

From SewSassy: I love it!!!! I would make the first border in red/narrow width to make it really pop and then wider border with the blue print. Really crisp and happy.
