Where did you even find instrustions for something like that?

googled it

I thought about it, but wasn't sure how sturdy it would be. Thanks.

You could also use a gun rack. You could add the rails to hold quilts instead of guns

I found a bakers rack at Hobby Lobby that I plan on using.

I have two, one was with a quilt that my husband won at a church bazaar several years ago and another oak one a friend of mine gave to me because she did not have room for it.

In my family room, on the wall, I have a quilt hanger that I got at a local furniture store that says all it's things are 'Amish made.'

I change the wallhanging once a month, June is Father's Day, which around here, golf is the pasttime. July is patriotic themed, August is the Fruit Ladies on the beach

I also put my sailor son's pics and awards he got in nuke school. I just realised I don't have the pic of him and the Captain when he got a 'Sailor of the Day' award on the USS Ronald Reagan, going to have to remedy that.

There's also a photo of when our oldest graduated and they all play golf.

This topic is very timely, I'm in the process of searching for a 'quilt cabinet' for our bedroom. I have 3 quilts with ties to my husband's grandma, to keep them to be passed on to my kids. It sits on the floor, so is really more of a piece of furniture

I've always wanted one that doesn't stick way out from the wall because of my lack of space. Can you share the website where you got the instructions for building one? Thanks, Mary

I don't have a quilt rack, but I do have a glass quilt storage chest. It keeps my quilts dust free and I can see them through the glass.
