Years ago I was enrolled in a Mark Twain Creative Writing course at the University and, had you been a student there too, your poem would have been at the top of the class! I loved it and the quilt too. What a wonderful story! Why don't you print that upon coordinating fabric and sew it upon the backside as a label?

Wow! What a compliment! I did put a label on back but not the poem. I really made the quilt just so it could be useful. If it goes to a good home, I may enclose a copy of poem with it.

That is what I was trying to say...if you look really close, the points are cut off (sewed over) and many of the places don't match like in a really nice quilt. But it will still keep someone warm. :-)

Both are beautiful.

You could not have worded it any better with you wonderful poem. You are very talented. I think the quilt turned out wonderful too. We all have to remember that "no one is pe
rfect". So If the quilt is not perfect, that is Ok.
I love the quilt. Isn't it great to get something and make something beautiful out of it.

The quilt is beautiful. The colours all blend together and the turquoise just brings it all together. Good work.

Maybe that's part of the beauty of quilting. I looked at the quilt closely and all I saw was a beautiful quilt. As the maker, we have a tendency to see "imperfections," if you will, but truly there are no imperfections in quilting. It's a beautiful craft typically done by wonderful people. I think that quilts represent warmth, comfort and love, how can there be in imperfection in and of these things? The quilt is amazingly beautiful and it doesn't matter how close you look, or how far. It's simply beautiful. I didn't even see anything that didn't line up.
