I am making an apron, some table runners, and some potholders. What other fun/different quilted gifts could I make people for Christmas?

Last year I made several sets of coasters which people seemed to like.

This year, I've made some small wall hangings which will be gifts. Don't know yet if they'll go over very well or not :?:

How hard are tote bags? I have seen some really cool ones but have been intimidated by them so far.

bread basket, tea cozy, hot pad/trivet, I see a theme here let's get out of the kitchen. booty slippers, rice bag's ( a rice bag is a cloth bag filled with rice or beans when you have a pain or ache you microwave it a few minutes and........ instant hot pad) window/door draft ( easy and I fill them with cedar shavings from the pet dept) these are great in a drafty older home This makes a nice gift layered soup mix, you can put fabric on the top of the jar to make it look cute and homey Google layered soup mix they have lots of recipes even for those who don't cook the ingredents are just layered in a jar. I made them last year as gifts, with ribbon I tied a wooden spoon on to the jar. the spoons were from the dollar store. There was a cream of potato soup mix which was great for people who don't cook to make soup hot water is added to a measured amount of mix. It was homemade cup a soup but better. that is all I can think of for now if i think of anything else i will post it.

tote bags are about the easiest thing to sew! and they are super easy to make your own mattern for!
let me find a tutorial like I make them and i'll post it. I use to make about four bags (assembly line style) in about an hour!

I've made a couple of things by Lazy Girl Designs (not quilted). I like her patterns Here's the link http://www.lazygirldesigns.com/.

I just bought the pattern and fabric for the Mini Bow Tucks Tote by Quilts Illustrated (this one is quilted). Here is the link for this one. http://www.quiltsillustrated.com/ind...s/Page1849.htm

If you do a search on the Pictures Page of the board, you will see several really nice quilted totes in this pattern, and the larger Bow Tucks Pattern. It's loaded with pockets on the inside! They are what inspired me to purchase the pattern. I was hoping to start tonight, but had my chores to do and didn't have time. Maybe tomorrow! :)

I haven't made them yet, but if I have time I was thinking of making up half-a-dozen quilted re-usable wine bottle totes for taking either a bottle of wine or a couple of jars of preserves to friends' houses over the holiday season.
