I do not have or wear any quilted clothing. I have wanted to, but everything seems to be either too "country arts and crafty" or too hippy for me.

I have considered that a nice star design on the back of a vest in black on black or black on grey would be nice, but it would have to be a very specific kind of vest for me to wear it - shaped somewhat like a close-fitting denim jacket, with a mandarin collar - needless to say, I haven't found any such vest.

Ugly Cook has a tutorial on making a patchwork jacket that I think looks good but you would need to watch what colors you use to keep it from looking like a county fair reject. I plan on making one for my college bound niece as soon as it gets a little cooler.

Like to see a picture of one. I've seen a couple and I would never wear the ones I saw. I think you need to be very small to wear one. Thats my opinion.

I've seen some quilted clothing that was very sophisticated looking, but a lot of it does look very "crafty". I think it depends on the combination of color/style/fit...and a lot of the patterns I have are kind of shapeless, and I like my clothes more fitted. I use Thermore batting, it is extremely thin and doesn't add bulk.

i've made vests for my daughter when she was skinny and i used old, soft worn-out quilts that followed her body lines. now she's a size 8 and they already make her look too big. maybe a shawl or a short cape or a hood, though. something that has no arms or waist indication..

I am a regular here and just out of curiosity, I searched for quilted clothing to see if anyone else was doing any.

I am working on the sleeves right now, using 2 colors of purple wool yarn that I got from taking apart some sweaters that I got at a resale shop.
