I make my own. I use a program on my computer and some art work I bought from. www.pccrafter.com. I use regular printer paper and make 1/4 fold cards. And use card stock for the 1/2 fold cards.I also print up my own envelopes for them and cut them out. I am a computer novice and have no problem with this. I've not seen any cards with quilting themes for sale around here. Mary

I saw the double wedding ring and one other in a quilt shop in Shingle Springs, CA the other day. I just loved them!

The DWR set is embossed, comes from Carol Wilson, and runs about $10 for a box of 10. They are really neat, but somewhat hard to find. I look pretty muich everywhere I go, and try to buy a box when I see them.

Hi, I make greeting cards all the time. Just make your backing the same size as your envelop and then cut out anything you want to put on it. Like at Christmas, put trees, santa's, stars, mangers, etc. then for birthdays and anniversaries use flowers, trees, food, I have a greeting card program on my computer and you can make the pictures any size you want them, copy them off, cut them out and go from there. It is fun and very easy to do. I sew a lot and I have small wallhangings that I do the same way. Trying to do them from scratch is pretty neat. My husband says I am very artistic. I doubt that but I do enjoy trying to see what I can copy and then get it on material. good luck Ruth Nees [email protected]

If it's a very simple pattern, get some colored cardstock and make your own.

in Williams AZ has quilt cards. I have bought birthday cards there.

When buying card stock, try finding the ones creased in the center. Some boxes even have the envelopes included.

You can buy cardstock at places like Staples too. They also have envelopes for cards.The staples nearest to me even has colored card size envelopes. Watch at christmas sometimes even walgreens or wal- mart have red,or green envelopes and white one .After the holidays look for them in the mark down. That's when I buy them for the next years christmas cards. Also I have bought them at a dollar store. Mary

I love them too. I've seen them at quilt shows - expensive IMHO. I've received them as gifts and love to use them.

I make my own to give with quilts. I take a picture of the quilt with my digital camera, print it & glue it to a blank card. I write my message inside. I put a picture of the back of the quilt on the back of the card. If I could figure out how to print the picture on the card, I'd do it that way- but when I've tried, I've failed dismally - LOL.

Actually, these cards PLUS having a picture for my quilt album are the reason I asked DH to give me a digital camera for Christmas many years ago. I usually finish a wedding gift quilt at the last minute and never had time to have a 'regular' picture developed.

I've seen the ones in the first post there, but I don't see them now. I love QIAD, but finding something in particular on their site can be difficult.

On Monday of this week, I saw some note cards that matched a western themed quilt @ Martha's Quilting Corner in Shiner, TX. She has a website; maybe she can give you some insight.

What soft wear is best for making cards? I'm on MacBook....if that matters.

I do digital art, and I usually use Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro (have versions 5-X), Daz3D, Poser and a ton of other things. But that's for artwork. You can make it work in Microsoft Paint

I got some in an Amish store and love them. I haven't seen them anywhere else, but have not checked on line.

I found some note cards on http://www.quiltwoman.com and I love them. I use them quick frequently to keep in touch with friends miles away. Yeah, I'm one of those who still like to use cursive and snail mail. The cards are replicas of quilt patterns. Then I recently found 6 blank note cards with envelopes and 6 100% cotton quilt labels to put in with your gift. I found them on It Takes Two, http://www.ittakestwo.com. The cost is very good for what you get. I also purchased a quilt diary to keep a record of the quilts I make and who I gave them to, this is something my DH is adamant about. Also Martingale has some very nice Rose of Sharon note cards and they are on sale right now. Well that is probably more info than you wanted, but you can check it out.

I make my own greeting cards, plus just started doing the quilted greeting cards; but for quilting notes I like the ones I just mentioned.

I am sure anywhere cards are sold there are some cards with quilt motifs. I would just look at cards whenever I am in a store of any kind. Good luck, take care.

i make my own xmas card by buying the pre made blank cards at the store with the ovals or squares in the middle(you can cut your own but i'm not happy with my oval cutting). i quilt a mini block or cross stitch, embroider, or at times i have used tri chem or fabric paint and painted something to put in the middle. i also do cross stitch or mini xmas blocks ornaments they can take out and use on the tree. the ideas are endless for cards and can be done for any time.the last one was a get well card with a teddy bear holding a racing flag that said get well soon.

I use them all the time for a number of purposes - I am always on the lookout for new designs, and have made my own cards (using photos of my own quilts only-only to avoid copyright issues).

I did not see them there either last year. I think this is turning into a good topic. I hope someone here decides to sell them here if they can without losing money. I know I would buy them.

Hi Gerbie, those were sent to me by qb members here. That's what made me want to find more and check here. SO far great ways to make or buy. They are spendy but then so is everything nowadays. BUT.....we quilters will figure out a way to save and create our own. Great ideas coming in.♥♥

Sent you back a PM. The thing I like about Carol Wilson's cards is that they are embossed, so they look more like an actual quilt. I will be looking, as I need to stock up.

I buy the blank cards at JoAnn's and quilt my own insertions. I love making them and friends love getting them. I keep a box of fabric and patterns nearby. They're the perfect size for those few minutes you want to sit and sew but not on a big project. Like waiting for the repairman.

I have been trying to find some too. I have not had much luck. Someone needs to come up with a line of quilty paper goods.

Do the cards have a cut out to insert your own add ons? I'd like to find them.
