I am 44 and have been quilting for about a year. I started with rag quilts and just kept going. I have 2 grandbabies and love making quilts for them. My SIL is 39 and she quilts.

I just started quilting a few months ago, and I'm 34.

I went to a quilt show recently, and was only one of a handful of people that appeared to be under the age of 50, so it was a little strange. But everyone was very nice and helpful -- that's one of the things I love about the quilting community as a whole; everyone is so welcoming of newbies :)

Oh my, I am 75 and love life.... I have been quilting for 10 years and my husband is my biggest supporter. He likes to go to quilt shops, because the ladies are always so friendlyl I think it is partly because I spend so much moneyl He bought me the Janome 6600 when it first came out and then shortly after that he bought the Horn table. I love them and my quilting room and him!
I have children, grandchildren and hopefully within the next year a great grand child.
I am 75, still wear jeans, travel alot, some over seas and am always on the go. I go to Stamp shows with hubby and goes to quilt shows with me. So, I am the oldest, Do I get the prize?????

I just hit the big 5-0 this year but should have started quilting in my 20s for all the projects I want to do.

I'm teaching my daughters- the 26 yr old has already been quilting. The 31 year old is in the "that's nice, can I have it stage", the newest DIL, age 26 made her first quilt last year. Oldest one is 34 but shows no interest in anything crafty. Other DD is also 26- I just gave her a machine when we were in NC last week and she made a pillow the day after we left. She said she needs to ease into sewing. My son, age 24 made his fiance (age 26) a quilt 2 years ago this Christmas. They now have mooched a book to make her Mom one for Christmas. Youngest son, likes his quilt and his greatest accomplishment is he helps me with color placement and layout (and he's really good at it).

Hubby doesn't sew, but always checks out what I'm working on and offers support. That would be the day I let him sit at my machine- now that I think about it... I'm possessive of it, he might touch something.

oh- the 34 yr old and one of the 26's are bonus kids- I got them package deal marrying hubby. Great way to have kids- let another woman have the childbirth and I get the fun of raising them. Also got another son, age 29 too.

7 in all, 7 personalities, 7 different likes and dislikes. Lots of fun in this family.

I should also say I still have young kids. I know there are others my age (46) that have grandkids, but my own kids are 7 and 11...soooooo, I'm in the young stage of my life!!
