She will always remember making her first quilt! How wonderful.

Wish you had posted a picture with her in it.

I agree with everyone else who mentioned the photos and that goes for others who are working with those up and coming new seamstresses. Create a quilt album and quilt a cover for the album and notes and copy of the labels. OK, I'll shut up for now. Ok now has passed. I'll shut up again.

I am so glad you are having fun sewing with your granddaughter. She will remember the fun she had everytime she looks at the quilt.

I hesitate to post without the parents' permission. She's the Sunbonnet Sue in my avatar. Will post the quilt.

I remember when my youngest GD made a quilt. I had ti press the presser foot because she was too short to reach iy. Fond memories.

You made my heart smile this morning...thank you. It is a wonderful gift - to ourselves and them - to be able to do these things with our "babies"....whether kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews etc.....a legacy and a memory. Keep having a great time !!

You might have to finish the top, then cut it in half. I know you will have to add some boarders, but then you can gift your DGD with half for her memories of time quilting with grandma. And you will have half for your memories of quilting with your DGD.

I would gift it to my grand daughter as a memory that she shares with you.
