For some of you who like to collect vases ... they work great for knitting/crochet projects. Yarn feeds out the spout and the lid keeps the dust of the yarn. Fun for me because I usually have 2 or 3 WIPs and the vases are prettier than piles of yarn!

I buy large jugs of whey protein and I'm going to cut a smooth slot in the lid and feed my binding through it to keep it from ending up under my chair wheels.

I use my sharps container for my used blades and needles and pins along with my used insulin syringes and needles.

My favorite upcycling idea is to use old coffee creamer containers (like from Coffee Mate or Int'l Delight liquid creamers) to hold water for the iron. The little spout makes it so much easier to aim correctly and not get water all over the ironing board. And, they hold lots of water so you don't have to keep going to the sink every hour. :)

I love those clear plastic containers with hinged lids that pastries come in. I put scraps, sm blocks, or a bunch of sm pcs of fabrics that I want to "gift" to a friend. I even saved a huge one that a sheet cake came in to line up smaller pcs of fabrics then used it like a portable drawer.

Instead of paying for a sharps container, I just use an empty laundry detergent bottle. Our refuse company said just mark on the outside that it contains sharps, and no problem!
