WOW! (that stands for WOW!) lol

It's faster for me to type out the word then it is to figure out some of what they all stand for.

But it is interesting to see just how much we have shortened our spelling for the sake of being faster and then we also wonder why our kids don't know how to spell. Two ways to look at things I guess.

I'll have to print it out LTR - NTN (No time now)

TY

You know, I have to agree with you! Granted it's much easier to write lol than laugh out loud, or HAND for Have A Nice Day!

So in short, I must say that I am a fence sitter on this one! LOL

Have a great day!

All I did is take what someone else had already done and changed the format for everyone to be able to read and use!

almost everything used here is used elsewhere in texting. here is a list of all texting acronyms. what we use can be found alphabetically. ignore the rest.

Yeah, however I have a 17 year old and I have seen his spelling! His friends, well that's a different story! I often wonder am I at fault, or are the professionals who were there to assist (teach) him from grades 1 to 6??

OMG,that i do know.I don't text i use the phone.I see where we could use a lot of different what ever you call then.

This short hand started with kids speaking to each other in chat rooms on the web while their parents were in the room! Then the Police were watching for predators and made the list available for all. The list then expanded and can be difficult to understand at times! The best people to ask are teens between the age of 13 to young adults!

TreeFrog

BTW: I am happy that the list is here for all of us!

Chickerson 12-14-2010 06:14 AM

DoxieFive 12-17-2010 04:47 PM

I printed it off. It is some dictionary!

Janetd 12-17-2010 05:18 PM

What a great list! I've saved it for study later!

b.zang 12-17-2010 05:23 PM

Ah, thanks.
I have just the audience for this list, too.
The grads at our school just hung a banner and at the bottom it has "FTW" which I heard is "force the win" and hope they aren't just dyslexic and meant to put "WTF" which I will not decipher for you!

Anna.425 01-11-2011 11:22 PM
