I searched the web to find meanings to different abbreviations. This is what I came up with! I did this to understand what people were talking about.

I got them off various websites, so if there is something that offends someone, let me know and I will delete it.

I'll try and redo it. Do you have excel as that is what it is in. I will have to do it later though.

Hi

You need a program like Microsoft Excell. I can put it in a note pad file for you if you wish. I had a difficult time until I transferred it to a Word Perfect Spread sheet.

Let me Know!

rnjoy 08-05-2010 08:25 AM

I tried to open it in an Excel program but got gobbledegoop... Is it possible to put it in a Word Program? Sure would like to see it. Thanks

3TreeFrog 08-05-2010 08:44 AM

Yes I can, I can probably even attach it here, just give me a minute or 5! LOL

Tree Frog

Hope this is helpful to everyone!

rnjoy 08-05-2010 09:11 AM

It was only because I figured if I had that much of a difficult time, then why not help everyone else!

Hope this is useful to all quilters!

mrspete 08-16-2010 11:39 AM

:( Well this old dinosaur does not have those microsoft programs, so I guess I'll guess. I had it before my computer went kAput a few weeks back, forgot to put it on a CD. Most I am learning but I still guess at those acronyms.

Thanks for trying.

Blessings,
Ruth

cbridges22 08-16-2010 11:47 AM

Wow,we need somewhere on the board where these are posted so we can refer to them.

bjnicholson 08-16-2010 12:05 PM

These acronyms remind me of the government and all the initials they use.

Hello

That would be up to the moderators, the list is about 4 pages long printed, so that would take a ton of space on their server

Yup, I would have to agree with you! My husband works for the gov't and my son is in the reserves, so one works for DVA and the other one is a RECCE for the DND! I on the other hand is a MOM! Lol

From the extension on the file name of the download it looks like it was made in Excel but a newer version. If the originator would save it as a older version of Excel then more people can open it. I had the same problem with a co-worker of mine. I have Excel 2000! It's hard to imagine it's 10 years old. Works for what I need to do.

mrspete 08-17-2010 02:47 PM

No M'am I don't. I have Adobe. I think that is the 'read' program. TY

I don't have all the acronyms remembered, I still have to look them up! As there are 9 pages worth with 340 plus acronyms! Some will come with ease, while some you will have to look up over and over! :!: However that is the FUN in it!
