Have you ever thought If the Ladies on this board could run the world, What a wonderful place it would be? There would be spelling and computer mistakes but the love would flow and with all the recipes the world would eat and all would be warm and cuddley with all the quilts.

I have to agree. And add something I was thinking about the other day. I have been a member of other boards, not all quilting,they seemed fine at first. Welcoming, friendly, answering questions, But after a bit the cliches came out. People got snippy etc. I have been on this board for a few years now and not one bit of that have I seen. Every question is answered even if its been asked before and people are nice about it.
I come here first every morning to read what ever topics come up in the email I get. gives me time to wake up and usually there is something funny to laugh at what a great way to start the day |

Yes Very time comsuming but enjoyable. I do all of the above in the early morning so it hurts no one but me. tee hee and you all know the pain of this board its better than chocolate. I love this board. I belong to several but this is the only one I manage to get on. Love you guys.

I couldn't have said it better myself, the people on here are great, ready to help and encourage each other and listen when anybody needs to rant. This place is great and so are the people on here.

Yes, everything you said is "right on." I've never come across so many giving people in my life. The quilting board has become my daily fix.....I start my day with a cup of tea and 1/2 hour (well maybe more???) to get inspired and learn. It's become a "have to have" every day.

When you join this board you find out very quickly what a treasure you've found. I run (don't walk) with coffee in hand to the computer every morning at 5:00 AM. Love it! :lol: :lol:

I agree. I live in a small town, with no quilt shops. There is a quilt guild, but not friendly. So this quilting board has taught me so much, from the tutorials to just friendly information. The message board has all kinds of links to patterns, etc. Thank you.

I also agree with your statement. I have met a few people on the board and they are great. I get great ideas and am able to look at beautiful completed quilts.

I agree with everything said above. I don't get on as often as I would like to since I work on computer all day, but I do try to read from the emails I get and it may take me 3 days to get caught up. I have met a few board members and I am so glad I did. Have become friends with them and I probably would have never met them if it wasn't for this board. It feels good to come to a place where no one is better or worst - I can not think of the word I want to say, but hopefully you all know what I mean. You can be who you are without being scrutinized (spelling???) and everyone is welcomed here. I just love this place and will never leave it on my own. :)

I totally agree. I have my laundry on my third floor where the bedrooms are and my library where my PC is. So, spend my laundry day here, (plus partial other days)
