I don't like to roll but sometimes I do need to clip the edge of my quilt up. I use ginormous plastic clothes pins from the Dollar Store. They come in bright colours and will hold quite a few pleats together. I use them so that the extra quilt fabric doesn't fall off the edge of my table while I am puddling my quilt under the needle. My table is about 4X6 feet and if the quilt goes off the edge it creates too much drag.

That is what I do too. I can easily do a king size on my pfaff. It has a 10 inch throat so that really helps too.

That is so much easier for me to do it this way also. Tried to roll several times and ended up rearranging more that sewing.
